“Impro” is an
abbreviation for improvisational theater.
To improvise means to perform an action without previous preparation.
The concept of “terapia” refers to a treatment or therapy. One of the definitions of therapy in the dictionary is “the act of caring for someone”. Some others are a service, an attendance or a service done to the sick. Improterapia is the scientific study of improvisational theater in a platform where elements of auto censorship, fear, low self esteem and many other negative factors can be identified and fixed gradually. All in the service of Self-Realization. A technique that helps people understand themselves better and maximizes their own potential while working in groups with techniques that come from Improv, Theater and Clown. To help people build self-esteem and consciousness, to minimize auto censorship, develop creativity, and exercise spontaneity, that is Improterapia’s goal. For actors, Improterapia, is a very effective tool for their own development as it reinforces stage presence, confidence, spontaneity, quick thinking, and helps loosen up while on stage. Working in group is essential. This could be that class you want to take before entering the acting business or just to improve your acting skills. Recommended for film, theater and television directors, teachers and professors, leaders, Companies and Corporations, law firms, schools, groups, etc. In Improterapia everyone grows. |
